Vision
GLASS Ambassadors is a focus group of graduate students and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) personnel focused on fostering transparency, communication and safety awareness in the management of chemical, biological and physical hazards that may be present in research laboratories, studios and educational activities of Texas Tech University.
Mission
GLASS Ambassadors creates a unique opportunity for students to voice their concerns, as well as, provide insight to existing faculty safety committees charged with guiding current and future safety policy at Texas Tech University. By partnering with the Department of Environmental Health & Safety, these students will become leaders in promoting the culture of safety in their colleges and throughout campus.

Communication
Provide open communication between EHS personnel and students working and teaching in the university's laboratories and studios
Transparency
Allow for transparency in the safety policies governing the university's laboratory and studio work areas
Safety
Encourage students on campus to follow the guidelines outlined in university safety policy
Awareness
Bring awareness to the complacency practiced by many students on campus
Knowledge
Identity unique methods to transfer safety knowledge to students across campus
Past Projects
Production of Safety Operating Cards for use on chemical fume hoods to communicate hazards ad shutdown procedures of long-running reactions
