Fulbright OLF, "History of European Martial Arts in the U.S." with Dr. Daniel Jaquet

For the first time, International Affairs at Texas Tech was proud to host a Fulbright Outreach Lecturing Fund (OLF) Speaker on Wednesday, January 21^st. Dr. Lauren Miller from the TTU Sociology, Anthropology & Social Work Department hosted Dr. Daniel Jaquet, originally from the University of Geneva in Switzerland. Dr. Jaquet is currently participating in a Fulbright Scholar program at the University of Chicago where he is studying European cultural history focusing on the history of science, medicine, physical exercise, and martial arts. Dr. Jaquet gave a lively talk on his current research along with his past work before answering a bevy of questions from the engaged audience!
