W. Frank Newton Endowed Professorship
W. Frank Newton Endowed Professorship
This professorship, created by the Beaumont Foundation of America, is a tribute to W. Frank Newton, the longest-serving dean at Texas Tech Law.
During his tenure as dean, Frank played a pivotal role in increasing diversity within the student body, faculty, and staff. He oversaw a significant expansion of the Law Library and implemented an extensive computer network within the Law School. Frank also secured increased funding from private and state sources, resulting in substantial growth in scholarship support. Following his retirement from the Law School, he assumed the role of founding president and CEO of the Beaumont Foundation, an organization dedicated to advancing technology to improve the lives of underprivileged individuals.
This professorship provides an endowment for the Dean's position at the Texas Tech University School of Law.
