John F. “Buddy” Maner Chancellor’s Barrister Fellowship
John F. “Buddy” Maner Chancellor's Barrister Fellowship
The scholarship was established by Wayne Reaud and the Reaud Charitable Foundation
to pay tribute to John F. Maner, who was known for his ability to see potential in
everyone.
Buddy devoted himself entirely to his family, close friends, and his passion for law.
Throughout his extensive career in the legal profession, he tirelessly advocated for
others, achieving numerous triumphs. He had an unshakable sense of humor and an unwavering
sense of self. Instead of expecting perfection from others, Buddy believed in collaboration,
firmly convinced that justice was an ongoing aspiration to provide individuals with
what they truly deserved. He understood that our actions during significant moments
reflect our true selves. Buddy is the epitome of integrity and unwavering courage,
a fearless champion of the law.
The scholarship is awarded annually to a student whose parents work blue-collar jobs.
