The State Bar of Texas' Administrative and Public Law Section brings together legal professionals who specialize in administrative law, regulatory matters, and public policy. Its primary objective is to promote excellence in administrative and public law practice across the state.
 
The Section collaborated with Texas Tech Law to produce the Administrative Law Journal (ALJ) from 2000 to 2019. The ALJ was a student-led publication that focused on Texas administrative law and was the only journal in Texas, and one of two journals nationally, that concentrated on administrative law. The Section provided financial support for the publication of two books annually, which were distributed to numerous practitioners, judges, and justices in Texas, as well as 15 other states.
