Mark and Claudia are exceptional supporters of Texas Tech law students, having made generous donations to general scholarships and various scholarship endowments, including the J. David Nelson Endowed Scholarship. They also established the Mark and Claudia Griffin Endowed Scholarship and played a significant role in funding the Charles P. Bubany Endowed Professorship.
 
Mark is the President of The Griffin Companies, which includes Rip Griffin Truck Service Center, Inc. and the Griffin Family Office, both of which hold positions in numerous investment portfolios.
 
Additionally, Mark serves as a regent for the Texas Tech University System and as a director of The CH Foundation.
 
In recognition of his outstanding accomplishments, Mark received the distinguished alumnus award from the Law School in 2009 and the Jerry S. Rawls Business Excellence Award in 2022.
