Brian Cassidy is the User Services Librarian and an Associate Librarian of Law at Texas Tech University School of Law. In this role, Brian coordinates all aspects of user services, including faculty and student services.  Brian instructs in the Legal Practice Research Workshops, the Excellence in Legal Research Program, and Criminal Trial Research.

Professor Cassidy holds a B.S. from Southern Connecticut State University in Political Science, a J.D. from The University of Dayton School of Law, and an M.L.I.S. from Kent State University.

Following law school, he worked at LexisNexis as a Senior Legal Research Associate, and in lobbying and political contribution compliance and research. Professor Cassidy also served three years in the United States Army and was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II in Baghdad, Iraq as a member of the 1st Cavalry Division.He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal among numerous other awards.

Professor Cassidy has been employed as law librarian for over 15 years including the thirteen plus years at Cleveland State University.  He is licensed to practice law in Ohio.
