With over ten years in academic- and student-support roles, Erica M. Lux, '21 (she/her) now serves as the Director for Academic Success Programs at Texas Tech University School of Law. In this role, Professor Lux provides individual and group-oriented academic support to students of all levels of academic success, teaches sections of the first-year Introduction to the Study of Law course, and manages and oversees the first-year doctrinal tutoring program.

Professor Lux comes directly to the School of Law from private commercial litigation practice in Dallas, Texas. She also gained professional experience as a law student by interning for a federal district judge, the federal public defender's office, and a local civil law firm. Prior to law school, she also served as the Director for Calendar and Events in the Office for Student Life at Texas Tech Law and worked with students wanting to achieve success on standardized entrance exams.

As a law student, Professor Lux participated in intramural and national advocacy competitions and served as the Managing Editor for Volume 53 of the Texas Tech Law Review. She also served as a doctrinal tutor for first-year civil procedure and property law courses in her 2L and 3L years. She received her Juris Doctorate from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2021 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas Tech University in 2009.
