Hunter Nasato serves as the Associate Director of Academic Success Programs at Texas
Tech University School of Law. In her role, she provides academic support to students
at all stages in their law school careers. From teaching first-year students in their
Introduction to the Study of Law course, to supporting graduates preparing to take
the bar exam, Hunter is committed to helping Tech Law students achieve their goals
in the legal profession.
Prior to joining the Office of Academic Success Programs, Hunter practiced criminal
and juvenile defense in rural west Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in
Human Sciences from Texas Tech University and her J.D. from Texas Tech University
School of Law in 2024 with a concentration in Criminal Law & Innocence. As a student
at Tech Law, she participated in the Caprock Regional Public Defender Clinic and served
as a Comment Editor for Volume 56 of the Texas Tech Law Review. While in law school, Hunter published an article about the need for increased protections
for incarcerated juveniles and remains dedicated to contributing to the advancement
of scholarship in juvenile law. She is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
