Where can I stay?

There are a variety of hotels in the Lubbock area. You can find out more about hotel offerings at Visit Lubbock.

Do I need to purchase tickets for the ceremony?

No. Graduates and their guests do not need to purchase tickets for the graduation ceremony. Seating is open and available on a first come, first served basis.

Where can I order class rings? Where can I order announcements?

Graduates are sent mailers with information on how to purchase these items. For graduation announcements and class ring orders, please contact Lori Garcia, Director of Affinity Programs for the Texas Tech Alumni Association, at lori.garcia@ttu.edu or 806.834.7077. 

Can I take photos at the ceremony? Will there be photos or videos available for purchase?

Photos are allowed at the ceremony from guest seats.

We will have a professional photography company, Candid Color Photography, taking photos during the ceremony. Photo proofs will be sent to graduates after the ceremony, and full photos will be available for purchase through Candid.

What is the dress code for the ceremony?

There is no specified dress code for guests attending graduation. For graduates, regalia robes and hoods are required.

What disability accommodations are available for the reception and ceremony?

Disability parking is available at both the Law School R21 parking lot (Indiana Avenue and Texas Tech Parkway), as well as on the West Side of the United Supermarkets Arena. Parking attendants are available to direct you on the day of the event.

How long is the ceremony? When can we make our dinner reservations?

The hooding ceremony is expected to last approximately 1.5 hours.

Where can I park for the reception and ceremony?

The Law School R21 parking lot (Indiana Avenue and Texas Tech Parkway) will be open to graduates and their guests the day of graduation. Please enter via Hartford Avenue and inform the parking attendant that you are attending the Law School Hooding Ceremony. Parking is also available in the lots surrounding the United Supermarkets Arena. Please pay attention to attendants and signs.
