From the road, oil rigs jut from the ground, creating their own skyline in the West Texas landscape. At night, the lights from the rigs glow brightly, and from above, look like constellations in the dirt. This is what artist and philanthropist Tina Fuentes sees each week as she drives from her Lubbock home to visit her mother—and it currently serves as the inspiration for her artwork.
