Current & Upcoming speakers

Visiting artists, curators and other arts professionals, along with symposia provide a means for students to directly connect with practicing art professionals. Each semester Landmark Arts facilitates presentations, in person and virtually, by art professionals from around the world. Steven Woloshen, a Canadian artist and animator, was in residence in Spring 2023 to provide hands-on workshops in cameraless animation. Tonja Torgerson's artist in residence with the printmaking area involved her working with students and community members to create an immersive art installation addressing life, love, and loss. Hundreds walked through the installation during one of Lubbock's First Friday Art Trails.

The Fall 2023 schedule of speakers will be posted here soon.

Landmark Arts exhibitions and speaker programs in the Texas Tech University School of Art are made possible in part with a generous grant from the Still Water Foundation, Austin. Additional support comes from Cultural Activities Fees administered through the J.T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual & Performing Arts.
