Study Abroad 2026

All TTU students are encouraged to enroll. The course is particularly beneficial for those pursuing art in any discipline, architecture, interior or apparel design, history, or language-focused majors. Students from other institutions need to contact the Study Abroad Program to verify their eligibility.
- Travel Dates: June 8 to June 28 (During Summer I: May 29-June 30).
- Destinations: USA: New York City (optional); Germany: Weimar, Dessau, and Berlin.

Planning Ahead is Key
This course offers an ideal study-abroad experience for creative, globally minded learners, providing a unique opportunity to explore the Bauhaus's revolutionary impact through on-site experiences. It also helps students develop communication strategies relevant to the digital humanities.
Students will journey to the three pivotal cities where the Bauhaus—a school of art, architecture, and design active during the Weimar Republic—developed its groundbreaking interdisciplinary and trans-medial approach to the arts.
Walking through the cities and the buildings where the Bauhaus developed offers students with a unique understanding of the school's history and achievements during a time of significant political change in Germany.
- Visit the Bauhaus sites recently renovated and open to the public in Weimar and Dessau.
- Visit the iconic Bauhaus School building in Dessau and explore the urban developments created by the School in Dessau and Bernau (Berlin).
- Study original documentation and designs at the two Bauhaus Museums (Weimar and Dessau)
- Walk around the cities that shaped the Bauhaus history as the cultural product of the Weimar Republic.
