Tonja Hagy-Valdine received her BFA from the TTU School of Art in 2006. She has been
an active supporter of the arts in Lubbock for nearly 20 years, holding staff positions
at the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts and the Municipal Museums of Lubbock.
Additionally, she has served as President of the Medici Circle board, a trustee on
the board of the Museum of Texas Tech University Association, as well as held board
positions for Keep Lubbock Beautiful and Take Pride in the East Side.
Duties
As a Student Recruiter, Tonja actively engages with high school arts educators and administrators statewide to promote the Texas Tech School of Arts degree programming to prospective new students. Her Media Relations duties include promoting the School of Art through outward-bound avenues such as social media, website and print media.
