Community Partnerships
Currently the TTU String Project partners with Wester Elementary School in the Lubbock area to offer string instruction during the after school programming. These partnerships expand string instrument access to students and families in under-served areas and provide opportunities for our TTUSP staff to teach in a variety of settings.
Students who participate in string instruction through our community partnerships perform on their campuses as well as in side-by-side presentations and performances with students that attend classes on the TTU campus.
Wester Elementary School

The Wester String Club was established in the 2020-2021 school year. This partnership was made possible by Wester Elementary School, Lubbock ISD Fine Arts, and the TTU String Project.
Wester String Club offers violin, viola and cello.
