chamber & Medium ensemble

 The Texas Tech University School of Music offers robust chamber music opportunities for students across many instruments, including  string quartets, woodwind/brass quintets, jazz combos, and specialized groups like saxophone quartets and percussion ensembles, all supported by faculty coaching and performance showcases, preparing them for professional careers with hands-on ensemble experience alongside their main performance degree tracks. 

Many chamber groups have been invited to perform at major conferences and festivals and have won top prizes at major competitions such Gold Medals and Grand Prizes at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, First Prize at the National Trumpet Competition, and many others.
