Development Grants
Fulbright Development Grants are open to full-time tenure track and non-tenure track
faculty who have not previously been awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant at Texas Tech
University.
Submit electronically as PDF files to Michael Johnson by COB January 15, 2025, together with the signatures of the Department Chair(s) or Center Director(s).

Project concept (up to 250 words): Project concepts should articulate clearly how the travel will contribute to establishing
a Fulbright host. Awardees will commit to developing and submitting a Fulbright Scholar application
in September, 2025.
Funds requested (up to $3,500): Provide a detailed budget with breakdown of proposed expenses. Acceptable expenses include: travel only related expenses (airfare, lodging, per diem) to foster a potential Fulbright host. Travel funds must be transferred to departmental accounts and expended by June 30, 2025. Awardees will be required to provide a report of outcomes and goals after the visit by July 31, 2025.
Projects should align with Fulbright Scholar goals and strategic priorities.

Continuing Partnership Grants
Fulbright Development Grants are open to full-time tenure track and non-tenure track faculty who have previously been awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant while at TTU.
Submit electronically as PDF files to Michael Johnson on a rolling basis throughout the year together with the signatures of the Department Chair(s) or Center Director(s).

International Collaborator:
Project concept (up to 250 words): Project concept should address how you plan to continue working with your Fulbright
collaborator or host institution. Please indicate if this is a new research focus
or if you are building on a previous research project. Awardees will be required to
provide a report of outcomes and goals after the visit by January 30, 2026.
Funds requested (up to $3,500): Provide a detailed budget with breakdown of proposed expenses. Acceptable expenses include: travel only related expenses (airfare, lodging, per diem). This grant is designed to support faculty in developing continued collaboration with their Fulbright host through activities such as: visiting international universities or research institutions for development purposes, meeting with previous international collaborators and hosts, developing a research proposal with that host, and/or developing an engaged scholarship project with international host. Travel funds must be transferred to departmental accounts and expended by December 31, 2025.
