Grounded in TCVPA Shared Values, scheduled events are complemented by intentional one-on-one and small-group meetings between AD Walz and faculty tailored for all career stages.

An overview of new tenure, promotion, and continuing appointment policies and processes presented in brief, accessible segments. Recordings and resources will be shared out and posted on the TCVPA Tenure, Promotion, Continuing Appointment web page.

NEW! Values Culture Coffee Hours

Monthly informal gatherings designed to foster connection, dialogue, and community, offering opportunities to engage with colleagues in a relaxed setting and reflect on the culture we are building together. Sessions will explore topics such as interdisciplinary collaboration, AI & emerging technologies, outreach and engagement, and strategies for supporting intersections of personal and professional life. Whether you attend regularly or join when a topic aligns with your interests, the Values Culture Coffee Hours provide a welcoming space for faculty & staff to connect, learn from one another, and contribute to the ongoing development of the TCVPA community.

Refreshed! Faculty Development Workshops

A series designed to support TCVPA faculty members in successfully navigating the tenure, promotion, and continuing appointment process. Particular attention will be given to preparation for annual reviews, third-year review, and the development of dossier materials. Sessions will focus on research and creative activity planning, crafting statements on teaching, research & creative activity, service, and outreach & engagement, faculty accolades, mentoring and collaboration opportunities, and other topics identified through faculty needs and feedback. Resources and workshop materials will be provided at each session. TCVPA faculty within their first six years of full-time teaching are strongly encouraged to attend.

NEW! Creative Horizons: Emerging Technology Speaker Series

Brings artists, scholars, educators, and innovators into conversation about issues of importance to TCVPA as artistic traditions meet a changing creative and technological landscape. The series looks both backward and forward: valuing enduring disciplinary knowledge, craft, authorship, pedagogy, and human judgment while examining emerging tools, practices, professional shifts, and possibilities that can help inform TCVPA's future. FY27 is planned as two virtual sessions and one face-to-face session; speakers may be invited guests or compelling on-campus voices, depending on the topic.

NEW SIGNATURE EVENT! Collaborative Arts & Humanities Exchange

Developed in partnership with TTU College of Arts & Sciences, this signature event is designed to foster interdisciplinary connections and collaboration through innovative presentations by faculty from both colleges. Centered on the theme of nature, sustainability, and human experience, the Exchange features engaging, nontraditional presentations that showcase creative scholarship across disciplines, followed by a structured and fresh networking opportunity. The event also serves as the launch of the Collaborative Arts & Humanities Exchange Seed Grant, a jointly funded initiative supporting interdisciplinary projects led by faculty from TCVPA & CAS and designed to advance external grant development and long-term scholarly partnerships.

Join colleagues from across TCVPA for an inspiring celebration of faculty research and creative activity, and to honor staff excellence. This dynamic event spotlights projects supported through the Research & Creative Activity Awards (RCAA), featuring fast-paced presentations from faculty completing their funding cycles and the announcement of the newest award recipients. Designed to showcase innovation, impact, and scholarly excellence, the colloquium offers an opportunity to learn from peers, discover emerging ideas, and celebrate the remarkable work shaping our college. Lunch will be provided.
