Jude Al-Hmoud meets Jordanian King and Queen

As a Jordanian American, Honors College student Jude Al-Hmoud enjoyed one of the best weeks of her life. During her Fall 2017 Congressional Internship in Senator Cornyn's office (R-TX), she had the privilege of meeting His Majesty King Abdullah II and Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan during their visit to the United States Congress. After introducing herself as an Honors College student at Texas Tech University, she was able to share with them the nature of the congressional internship program and they seemed very impressed that our University offered such an opportunity for their students. The King and Queen have been roles to her for her entire life, and they hold a very special place in her heart. They have done an incredible amount of work to repair the tarnished image of Arabs and Muslims around the world. As a Muslim with Arab roots who was born and raised in Texas, Jude Al-Hmoud will always be indebted to both of them for making her proud of who she is.
