Favorite part of being a Bayless Mentor: Is the joy I feel when I see my mentee running to hug me and tell me about his day. The joy I get as I spend time with him and in the program is something I would not trade for the world. My mentee has taught me to overcome any challenge I face and always to appreciate others. I am thankful to be a part of the Bayless Mentoring Program.

Favorite part of being a Bayless Mentor: My favorite part of being a Bayless Mentor is the rewarding experience of building meaningful relationships with our mentees. I enjoy seeing my mentee every week and nurturing her sense of joy, friendship, and confidence. Spending time with her is the highlight of my week. As mentors, we have the opportunity to understand how our mentees navigate the world and I am excited to be guiding her along the way!

Favorite part of being a Bayless Mentor: Mentoring at Bayless has been one of the most rewarding volunteer experiences I have had. Being a role model for students to look up to, as well as a supportive friend to laugh and play games with, fill very special and impactful roles in their lives. Going to Bayless and seeing my student's excitement when he spots me is one of the best parts of my week and an experience I will never forget.

Knowing that I have the privilege to brighten her day and knowing how much she's influenced me to be happier and more aware of the example I'm setting as a mentor is amazing. I love getting to be her friend and playing all the games she comes up with.
