Established in 2010 by the San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Inc. to provide scholarships to students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources who are members of the Ranch Horse Team. Students must have graduated from an accredited Texas high school and must earn a minimum GPA 2.0 each semester.

Established in 2012 by Linda Avila to provide scholarships to students enrolled in the Department of Animal and Food Sciences who are from the following counties: Kinney, Uvalde, Bexar, Wilson, Karnes, Golliad, Dewitt, Victoria, Calhoun, Aransas, Refugio, Bee, Atascosa, Frio, Zavala, Maverick, Dimmit, La Salle, McMullen, Live Oak, San Patricio, Nueces, Jim Wells, Duval, Webb, Jim Hog, Kleberg, Kennedy, Brooks, Zapata, Starr, Hidalgo, Willacy, and Cameron.

Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, with a preference to students who may not have an outstanding GPA but how have proven themselves worthy of a scholarship by their leadership skills, dependability and hard work.

Established in 1992 by Texas Pork Producers Association, Inc. to provide a $500 scholarship for a student interested in swine production with preference for that person to be in Animal Science. Criteria includes scholarship, financial need and preference given to an upper class student.

Established in 1969 by the Texas-New Mexico Dairy Tech Society and family and friends of Dr. J.J. Willingham. The scholarship is provided for undergraduate majors in the Food Technology program selected on the basis of academic achievement and financial need. Established by gifts from friends of Dr. J.J. Willingham, former Dairy Industry Department Chairman. Selected by the Food Technology Faculty and administered by the Chairman of the Animal Science Department.
