Beth was born and raised in northern Indiana before moving to Wyoming in grade school and then graduating from high school in the Houston area. As a student of varied interests, she completed dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Theatre Arts from Texas Tech University—with minors in Education and French. After teaching high school for two years in Littlefield, Texas, Beth began working with the newly formed TTU College of Visual and Performing Arts in 2002. She discovered the joy of working with undergraduate students and transitioned to academic advising in the School of Theatre and Dance while also completing her Master of Arts degree in Theatre Arts. After serving as Undergraduate Advisor for Theatre and Dance students for over 16 years, Beth joined the Honors College team in May 2021 to continue her exciting adventures in academic advising. Beth has been recognized multiple times for excellence in advising, and she loves to help undergraduate students find creative ways to pursue multiple academic interests while also assisting with their path to degree completion. In addition to her role as Lead Academic Advisor, Beth is privileged to serve as the Program Director for the Honors Sciences & the Humanities (HSH) majors as well as Coordinator for the Honors Thesis Program.
