Dr. Carrell holds a PhD and Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University. He has published over twenty-three peer reviewed journal and conference proceedings articles. Dr. Carrell has been honored with a number of awards most notably the NSF EAPSI Fellowship, where he studied at the distinguished Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. His area of research includes Sustainable Manufacturing and Additive Manufacturing. Dr. Carrell is a major proponent for undergraduate research in STEM disciplines and has supported many undergraduate students in their research endeavors.
