Stacy is originally from Arkansas but has proudly called Lubbock home since 1998. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, and a Master's of Education in Special Education from Texas Tech. Stacy's husband Russ is a native of Houston. He is the News Director for KAMC and KLBK. They have two sons, Jackson and Tad. Jackson was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3, and it's through Jackson's diagnosis Stacy began volunteering on campus at the Burkhart Center for Autism Education and Research in 2006. While pursuing her master's degree, Stacy worked as a graduate assistant in the College of Education. She then transitioned to full-time employment with Institutional Advancement from 2009 to 2014 before joining the Honors College. Stacy received the 2017 TTU President's Award of Excellence.
