All About "Guapa"

"Guapa" is a play about many things. It is about the eponymous character and her dreams of making it as an international soccer phenom, yes, but it is also a play about family. It is a play about being true to oneself and seizing one’s dreams despite the hardships you might face. It is about fighting for oneself, and it is about perseverance, achievement and, perhaps most importantly, success.

A Legacy of Tales: Remembering Terry Chance

The School of Theatre & Dance lost one of its alums this Winter: Terry Michael Chance. While it’s always challenging to say goodbye to someone who meant so much to this community, it’s also an opportunity to share with you just how significant story telling is to our craft (and I must admit, Terry’s amazing life offers an array of stories that I heard about ten years ago when I took over directing the program in Lubbock).
