Between Earth and Sky chosen for prestigious film festival in nation's capital

A film produced by a Texas Tech College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources administrator and soil science professor has been selected for a prestigious national film festival. "Between Earth and Sky: Climate Change on the Last Frontier" has been chosen for screening at the 2017 Environmental Film Festival in Washington, D.C. The festival is scheduled for March 14-26 throughout the nation's capital.

GALLERY: Bayer Plant Science Building tower takes shape behind scaffolding

As temperatures seem to roller coaster throughout the winter season, construction crews put scaffolding in place and begin the complex task of positioning the weighty pieces that make the new two-story tower's facade going up just outside Texas Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Dean's Office on the northwest corner of the Goddard building. The project, scheduled for completion by the end of March, completes the exterior enhancement of CASNR's new Bayer Plant Science Building and visually ties the new and old buildings together. The tower is being built by Vaughn Construction.
