Four students from Texas Tech's College of Agriculture and Natural Resources will be spending the summer working as interns in the nation's capital. Running from June through August, the college's congressional summer intern program affords selected students an opportunity to experience first-hand the government's day-to-day operations.

An analysis of a recent price decline in China's reserve cotton finds that the dip will have minor impacts on China's cotton production, consumption, ending stocks and imports, according to a study led by Texas Tech University agricultural researchers. Meantime, the impacts on the U.S. cotton market are likely to be negligible.

Ten students from Texas Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources were on hand for this year's Latinos in Agriculture Leaders Conference in San Antonio. The students represented Tech's 'Minorities in STEAM,' an organization promoting the success of minority students pursuing careers and degrees in science, technology, engineering, agriculture and mathematics.
