Alumni agricultural environmental tour of Romania, Hungary deadlines approach
If you're interested in a faculty-led alumni agricultural environmental tour of Romania and Hungary, the deadlines for signing up are quickly approaching, said officials with Texas Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources today. A $500 per person deposit is required to hold a place on tour. Fifty percent of the balance is due by March 11, and the final payment is due by May 4.

As the economy becomes more global each day, Texas Tech University students striving for a career in the agribusiness field are now being given the opportunity to learn on an international scale. Specifically, Tech's Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics is making that possible with a newly launched international agriculture business program.

Don Morrison Memorial Scholarship Endowment
The Don Morrison Memorial Scholarship Endowment was established in memory of Don Morrison by Mrs. Frances Morrison and family. Mr. Morrison was born Nov. 5, 1928, in Wichita, Kan. He came to Pampa in 1942 from Wichita. He was a 1947 graduate of Pampa High School and received a bachelor's degree in animal science from Texas Tech University in 1951. He married Fran Huff on June 10, 1954, in Hemphill County. He was a longtime rancher in Roberts County. He was a 50-year member of Pampa Masonic Lodge No. 966 AF&AM, York Rite Bodies, Scottish Rite Bodies and Khiva Temple in Amarillo. He was a former Roberts County Commissioner, former director of Production Credit Association and served on Roberts County Soil Water Conservation Board. He was a board member of Texas Tech Division of Opportunity Plan Inc. He was an active adult leader in 4-H. He was a veteran of the Army, serving during the Korean conflict. Available scholarships for rodeo team members who demonstrate a high level of all-around participation, good character, and academic dedication.

Dave Hopper Rodeo Scholarship Endowment
The Dave Hopper Rodeo Scholarship Endowment was established by various donors in 2001. The scholarship is awarded to students in the Texas Tech Rodeo Association.

General Rodeo Scholarship
The General Rodeo Scholarship was established in 2004 by various donors. The scholarship is awarded to students of all classification and must be eligible to compete at the National Intercollegiate Rodeo while maintaining at least 12 academic hours.

Donnell Echols Rodeo Scholarship
The Donnell Echols Rodeo Scholarship was established by Mr. and Mrs. Donnell Echols in 2001. The scholarship is awarded undergraduate and graduate students majoring in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources who participate in Inter Collegiate Rodeo.
