Texas Tech University's Graduate School recently recognized work displayed in students' theses and dissertations for the annual 2016 awards, funded in part by the Helen Jones Foundation.
Twenty-three high school instructors from across the nation were on Texas Tech's campus for a special agricultural science education course this week, said officials of Tech's Department of Agricultural Education and Communications, who hosted the 11-day academic event. The focus of the Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education program was providing a high-level educational experience to enhance the rigor and relevance of agriculture, food, and natural resources subject matter.
More than 3,800 Texas Tech students, including 162 from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, received diplomas at the university's commencement ceremonies in May at United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock.
